We’d previously done very little in terms of legacy fundraising and we knew we were missing an opportunity. Without any legacy fundraising expertise in the team, we needed an expert in this field, and Richard was recommended to us.
Richard spent time really getting to know our charity, the hospital, staff, and our audience (existing and potential). He then developed a bespoke, step-by-step legacy fundraising plan, which was helpfully split into short-, medium- and long-term, actions. It’s a plan that feels realistic for us, given our limited resource, and I feel confident that it will bring about results we need.
Working with Richard changed the way I thought about legacy fundraising, especially in terms of messaging. We had a lot of questions along the way which he was always happy to answer, and I feel we definitely got our money’s worth.
